This Week’s Theme is the WELLNESS 360 – BODY: This week is the second week of our 12-week Wellness 360 series! Please see the attached wellness pdf below! This week, we will check-in by taking the quick and easy wellness quiz and look at things we can add-in vs. take-away to increase our overall wellness and vitality. From our Wellness 360 Wheel, the Body will be this week’s focus topic.
Add-in VS. Take-away
I engage in some form of physical activity each day.
Walk daily, download the Step app on your phone, and set a goal for the number of steps each day.
Tips for adding steps to your daily life— park farther away from the entrance, take stairs instead of elevation.
Try one new movement each day.
Develop a sustainable yoga practice that you can do each day.
Take a break from sitting throughout the day— maybe a quick walk, stretch, or chair yoga pose.
When possible, stand while working at your desk.
Try sitting and standing without the support of using your hands.
This Week’s Practice
This Week’s Practice is ACTIVE TO RESTORE – WARRIOR 1 & 2: This week, we will focus on the following poses: Warrior 1 & 2. Our practice this week is dedicated to Veterans in honor of Veterans Day.
Begin now for planning how you will remain active throughout the fall & winter months. Try incorporating poses from today’s class into your daily routine!

The Power of Self Care Virtual Yoga is about “you “listening to your body, clearing your mind, and connecting with your spirit. Some days this might mean relaxing in Shavasana and listening to the healing music of the handpan. On other days you may feel energized and choose to challenge yourself throughout the class. Remember, this is your practice, and we are grateful for your presence.
All poses in our chair or floor yoga classes can be modified to meet individual students’ needs. Before each class, we do a check-in to see if there are any specific needs to be addressed and work hard to ensure all students feel welcome— just as they are!
