About the Facilitators:

Tamara White is a Board Certified Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (CNP/ANCC) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500 ). She is in practice at Sound Physicians in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a GAPNA Member, Past Chapter President, and a member of the Parish Nurse Committee and a Steven Minister at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Tamara holds an MSN in Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY; a BS in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati; and a diploma in Nursing from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati.

Tamara began her yoga journey in 2003. After a lifetime of running marathons, she needed new ways to help her body rest and recover from the added stress she was putting on it. She discovered yoga as a way to both stretch and stay flexible as well as optimally recover from training, and she was hooked.

Tamara is trained in Healing Touch, Level 1 and Level 2, and THAI Yoga Massage. She enjoys bringing Chair Yoga and THAI Massage to Senior Centers throughout the Greater Cincinnati area and works with private clients in their homes.

Tamara is also trained in canine massage and healing touch for animal practitioners.  Tamara works with animals in the clients’ homes where the animal is most comfortable.
