The Mirror Exercise:
What if we knew that loving and accepting ourselves was hard, and something we all struggled to do? What if the journey of learning to love ourselves could start today—with no shame, no expectation… just an open heart and a willingness to try?
As you read these words, I invite you to look in the mirror, but instead of looking at yourselves, look for ourselves… for the beauty and the wisdom you take for granted, you’ve hidden, you’ve disowned, or maybe even been robbed of… Try to see yourself through the eyes of compassion and not judgement… through the eyes of grace, not shame… Embrace any thoughts of imperfection, and let them go… knowing that there is only one “you,” and learning to LOVE yourselves, is the bravest things you will ever do.
