Our theme this week is CROWN CHAKRA, our practice is GENTLE FLOW – STRETCHING TO FIND INNER PEACE, and our essential oil is FRANKINCENSE.

This Week’s Theme

This Week’s Theme is the CROWN CHAKRA: This week, we focus on the crown chakra. This chakra represents self-knowledge, self-will, and divine connection. This chakra is where our energy is associated with spirituality and links us to everything beyond our individual ego. This center is the gateway and source point into enlightenment.

This Week’s Practice

This Week’s Practice is GENTLE FLOW – STRETCHING TO FIND INNER PEACE: This week, we will focus on our crown chakra, and we will explore some of the following poses: Rabbit, Tree Pose, Extended Savasana Pose, and Meditation.

A note about the class:

The Power of Self Care Virtual Yoga is about “you “listening to your body, clearing your mind, and connecting with your spirit. Some days this might mean relaxing in Shavasana and listening to the healing music of the handpan. On other days you may feel energized and choose to challenge yourself throughout the class. Remember, this is your practice, and we are grateful for your presence.

All poses in our chair or floor yoga classes can be modified to meet individual students’ needs. Before each class, we do a check-in to see if there are any specific needs to be addressed and work hard to ensure all students feel welcome— just as they are!

This Week’s Oil

This Week’s Essential Oil is FRANKINCENSE: doTERRA Essential Oils

Frankincense Essential Oil: Renowned as one of the most prized and precious essential oils, Frankincense has extraordinary health benefits.* In addition to its notoriety in the New Testament, the Babylonians and Assyrians would burn Frankincense in religious ceremonies and the ancient Egyptians used Frankincense resin for everything from perfume to salves for soothing skin. This centuries-old knowledge contributes to the modern uses of Frankincense today. Its soothing and beautifying properties are used to rejuvenate skin and help reduce the appearance of imperfections when applied topically. As the king of oils, Frankincense is known to support healthy cellular, immune, nervous, and digestive function when used internally.* Combine with essential oils like Bergamot or Lavender and inhale or diffuse to create an experience of peace and satisfaction.

PROPS: Our props for the week – mat, pillow, strap & blocks.
We look forward to seeing you as we continue to build a virtual community together!
One breath, one stretch, one affirmation… at a time!

Namaste,
Tami & Kelly
