The Power of Self-Care and its Abundance
This theme for the month is ABUNDANCE, and our weekly practices are focused on Your Energy Body, Pranayama, the practice of the breath, Time to Breathe, and the Mental Emotional Body, each topic, from Lilias’s book titled, “Lilias! Yoga Gets Better with Age.” The quote for this week is “One of the benefits of yoga is its power to soothe the body, quiet the mind, and balance the emotions. Breathing and relaxation techniques are enormously helpful in keeping your mental, emotional body healthy.” (Chapter 12, pg 94)
Building Your Awareness on Abundance:
1) Spend time throughout the week, building your awareness around how you’re spending your energy. Where are you investing your time, attention, and daily self-care practice?
2) Try to incorporate one breath, one stretch, and one affirmation…one minute at a time as part of your daily self-care practice!
