This Week’s Theme:

This Week’s Theme is the ROOT CHAKRA: This week is an intro to the seven chakras focusing on the root chakra. This center is found at the pelvic floor, and it is our taproot and connection to the Earth.

This Week’s Practice:

This Week’s Practice is WARRIOR STANCE & HIP OPENERS: This week, we will place our focus on our warrior stance and hip openers for grounding, physical strength, and security.

Using the Seven Chakras in Your Yoga Practice
Learning to work with your chakras greatly influences the potential and experience of your yoga practice.

Chakra means “spinning wheel.” Chakras are a convergence of energy, thoughts, feelings, and the physical body. Our conscious mind is projected through these wheels, which helps determine how we experience reality– from our emotional reactions to what we desire or resist. They also play a role in our level of confidence or fear and physical reactions.

As we work with these energy centers in our yoga practice, we can begin to open blocks to reach our highest potential.

Healing chakras

Root Chakra (Muladhara)

This center is found at the pelvic floor, and it is our taproot and connection to the Earth. This chakra keeps us grounded into our embodied reality, physically strong and secure. Through our yoga and meditation practice, we breathe life into the sleeping power that sits in our root. Asanas such as Warrior stances, hip-openers, Chair Pose, deep lunges, and squats help bring awareness to this center.

This Week’s Oil:

This Week’s Essential Oil is SERENITY: doTERRA Essential Oils
SerenityOil – Restful Blend: Serenity oil has a calming aroma that creates a restful environment at bedtime.

PROPS: Our props for the week – mat, pillow, strap & blocks.
We look forward to seeing you as we continue to build a virtual community together!
One breath, one stretch, one affirmation… at a time!
