Writing Workshops: The Power of Changing Your Life Through Narrative

Writing to healIt is my hope that my purpose as a Life Coach and Spiritual Director are becoming clearer to you now. But my programs don’t end when the one-on-ones are over. I am also proud and humbled to provide group programs like Workshops & Retreats – including Writing Workshops and School Programs.

My Writing Facilitation journey, in particular, is one of the programs that I am immensely proud to be able to provide. As an avid writer since childhood, despite my lifelong struggles with dyslexia, I have developed my own methods to overcome this debilitating problem and became a certified writing facilitator and affiliate for the Cincinnati nonprofit group Women Writing for (a) Change through their Conscious Feminine Leadership Academy in 2015. Through that avenue I have developed a series of creative writing programs, which I facilitate through workshops, writing circles, school programs, as well as in private coaching sessions.

As a writing facilitator, I deliver these powerful writing programs on healing and self-reflection. Programs Include: The Power of Self-Care, Celebrating Our Struggles, and a school writing program called A Piece of Paper Always Listens. These are offered to individuals and groups and can be delivered both in-person and online.

Celebrating Our Struggles is a call to strengthen your spiritual core while exploring the power of changing your life through narrative and being heard for what you truly have to say. This six-part class invites you on a journey to a greater sense of purpose and worth through telling your story to others. We will look at strategies for revising that story so that it best serves your growth toward the person you want to become.

Celebrating our strugglesCelebrating Our Struggles:

Part 2 – Self Care-Is an Act of Love: Begin creating a daily self-care practice that supports your journey.
Part 3 – What do Our Stories Have to Say: Are you allowing your wounds or your gifts to define who you are, and how might you reframe your narrative?
Part 4 – Our Gifts are Sacred Treasures: Reflect on the gifts you have discovered and how they are the sacred treasures of your soul.
Part 5 – Living into our Dreams: We explore how dreams give meaning and purpose to our lives.
Part 6 – I Carry My Light into the World: Celebrate the gifts we have discovered, the struggles we have overcome, and allow ourselves to dream.

Through varied writing experiences, readings and discussions, we use Women Writing for (a) Change practices to help us locate the sacred in difficult circumstances. Join us for the adventure into better knowing ourselves. You can find more information about these writing workshops and my work as a Writing Facilitator HERE.
